Regular Givers make a huge difference

Our regular givers make a huge difference to the patients and families who visit Sheffield Children's, as the money raised funds projects over and above the NHS provision across the whole trust.

Sheffield Children’s is at the heart of everything and we wanted to say a huge thank you for all our regular givers who support a cause we are all care deeply about.

We continue to work hard to ensure your donations have the greatest impact possible. From supporting the latest in healthcare innovation such as the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, to facilitating Sheffield Children’s ambition to be a leader in children’s health, as well as everything in between. Regular donations are incredibly important to be able to fund projects over and above standard NHS provision, shaping future paediatric care globally.

As one of only three specialist dedicated children’s hospitals in the UK children and young people travel from all over the country and the world to Sheffield for ground-breaking medical treatment.

From its foundation, almost 145 years ago, Sheffield Children’s has always depended on charitable support. Our role at The Children’s Hospital Charity is to help the Sheffield Children’s dream big and achieve its ambition of creating a healthier future for children and young people.

  • How much should I donate every month?

The amount you wish to donate is up to you. Here are a few examples...

£3 a month could help us provide distraction for our patients with our Play Specialists, at what is often a very difficult time.

£5 a month could help us fund artwork to make visiting hospital an adventure.

£10 a month could help us fund specialist medical equipment which will save patient's lives.

£15 a month could help fund life research into the prevention and cure of childhood illnesses.

The choice is yours, but every penny and pound really does make a difference.

  • Why is regular giving important?

Regular giving helps us provide long-term support not just this year but for years to come. Monthly giving provides a predictable and stable stream of donations, giving us the ability to grow, and be innovative and responsive to the needs of everyone we support.

  • What is the length of time I need to donate?

There is no set length of time for regular giving. You are able to stop at any time by contacting us with two weeks’ notice.

What we do at Charity HQ

Together we fund specialist medical equipment, clinical research trials which influence care globally, transform clinical walls and spaces with bright art, and provide ways and workshops to create distraction during anxious moments – such as before an operation, and to break up long stays on the wards. Donations help create a healthier future for children and young people who visit Sheffield Children’s, funding projects over and above the standard NHS provision.
