Florence Blanchard
Screen Print
50 x 70cm unframed
Edition of 25

An exclusive limited edition print created for Sérigraphie, a recent exhibition from The Long Gallery at Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Florence Blanchard cut her teeth as a graffiti writer on the streets of her native France before moving to New York in the early 2000s. It was in New York where the twin tracks of Florence’s talents really blossomed: painting and science. Following a decade-long urban apprenticeship creating murals for hip-hop festivals and private commissions, Florence pursued her gift for science, gaining a PhD in molecular biology from New York University in 2008. Sérigraphie shows the evolution of Florence’s art practice and focuses on the 'Particle' series developed from her scientific training.
