The Children's Hospital Charity reveals first images of £6million helipad

The Children's Hospital Charity colleagues were lucky enough to visit the brand new helipad on the roof of Sheffield Children's Hospital recently.

The Children's Hospital Charity is proud to share new images of the £6million helipad on the roof of Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Entirely funded by Charity supporters, the helipad will reduce delays for patients who need urgent critical care from across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire, and offer privacy and dignity.

The Helipad Appeal target was reached in March 2023, with work subsequently commencing at the Western Bank site.

Fundraisers from across the country rallied together to support Sheffield Children’s, including Helipad Heroes, regular givers, members of the local community, corporate organisations and more.

The helipad would not have been possible without the generosity of the public, charities and local businesses, with the national charity HELP Appeal donating the largest sum of £2.8million towards the appeal.

The Children's Hospital Charity would like to thank each and every person involved in the fundraising and build of this huge project!
