• What do I need to do so you can claim Gift Aid?

    To enable The Children’s Hospital Charity to claim tax relief on eligible gifts, you simply need to ask your sponsors to complete all the boxes on your sponsor form in their own handwriting. They should include their full home address and postcode, then return the sponsor form when you send in your sponsorship money.

  • Will I receive an acknowledgement of my gift?

    When you donate online you should receive an email confirmation of your gift immediately. If you send us a gift through the post, in person or by paying directly into our bank account we will also send a written thank you by post, unless you state otherwise.

  • Can I leave a gift in my Will?

    Absolutely. Every gift in every will, no matter how small or large helps to make it better for children. Find out how you can ensure that future generations receive the very best healthcare.

  • Can you use my donation for a specific project, department or ward?

    The majority of donations help us to provide a full range of services to make Sheffield Children's Hospital even better. We prefer to use donations to fund whichever areas need it most, but if you’d like us to use your gift to fund something specific we will do our best to allocate your donation as requested. Please ensure you contact a member of the Charity Team to discuss how we can do this.

  • I would like to change my name/address/contact details – what do I do?

    Simply complete the contact us form or email support@tchc.org.uk and we will update your details.

  • How do I create a text code?

    Texting is a simple and fast way to help you reach your fundraising target. Visit JustGiving.com and select JustTextGiving from the Fundraising drop down menu. Follow their instructions to set up your own text campaign.

    It’s free to set up and whatever mobile network you are on, your supporters can simply text your unique code and an amount of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070. You’ll be able to see these donations on your page – and they’ll be included in your fundraising total.

    Don't forget to remind your supporters they can still add Gift Aid to their donation to boost your target.

  • I'd like to fundraise online, how can I do this?

    A brilliant way to increase your fundraising is to set up an online fundraising page. Two of the most popular sites supporters use to raise money are justgiving.com and virginmoneygiving.com. They both have some fantastic features, like the opportunity for you to set up your own fundraising page where you can upload photos and share messages about your event.

  • Where should I send a cheque?

    Cheques should be made payable to The Children’s Hospital Charity and sent to us at: The Children’s Hospital Charity, Western Bank, Sheffield, S10 2TH.Please note, we do not recommend sending cash through the post.

  • Can I donate the money I’ve raised by bank transfer?

    It is possible to pay in donations via a BACS payment. Please call the charity office on 0114 271 7203 to request our account details.

  • Does the charity have an office at the hospital?

    Yes, our charity office is located at the main entrance to the hospital and is open on Mondays 1.30pm – 4.30pm and Tuesday-Friday 9.30am-4.30pm
