Fundraising!

Anyone can raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital

From cake sales to quizzes and skydives to sponsored silences. There is no end to the fun things you could do to make it better for our hospital. Have you got a great idea for something completely different? Whatever it is, we will support you all the way.

Fancy getting active.... every mile walked, swam, run, climbed or scrambled really will make a difference to patients at Sheffield Children's Hospital. Whether you want to get fit or try a new sport, or even take on a team challenge for some fun fundraising.

Here are just a few ideas to get you motivated:

  • Grab your running shoes and set yourself a distance to run
  • Organise a sponsored walk from home to our hospital
  • Take part in a triathlon or just the swimming as part of a team
  • Cycle with a partner on a tandem
  • Take it to the extreme with a sponsored sky dive or tough mudder challenge
  • Its a classic and is always popular... hold a raffle or bake sale at home or in work
  • Go silent and take your self off social media for the day or week!
  • Organised a sponsored hair cut.
  • Organise your own walk or run or cycle.
  • Take part in one of charity events.
  • Donate a gift in lieu instead of having presents for your birthday, wedding, anniversary
  • Organise an event like a fashion show or raise money at an event already taking place like a ball.
  • Make a one off donation

All donations and fundraising activity for the charity will help build a brighter future for young patients and their families. Our dedicated fundraising team will be on hand to help you to raise as much as possible. Once you join us you become part of Team Theo.

Be Brave, be bold, be Team Theo

  • We'll get in touch

We will get in touch and chat to you about what you are planning to do. We will help you along the way as much as we can.

  • Create your own publicity

Write your own press release by using our PR guide

Shout about your event on your social media. We are really sorry but we're unable to share event posts on our social media pages just because of the volume of requests we get.

  • Download a toolkit!

Download Theo and the charity logo so you can create your own posters for publicity.

Have a look at the paper chains and bunting to make your fundraising stand out.

  • Do you want a speaker at your event?

If you would like us to attend your event then please ask with lots of notice. We really do want to support you as much as possible and will happily come to events to speak about the charity and represent us.

Its the day.... yeah! We want to wish you good luck and will get in touch with you to see how you have got on.

  • Sending your money in

There are a few ways you can send the money into the charity. Have a look here and see if any of these work for you.

  • Request that all important t-shirt!

Team Theo sports t-shirts or yellow t-shirts are provided for anyone who registers with us! Just let your charity contact know your size and we'll get it sent out for you.

Follow the bear sports t-shirts: If you aren't taking part in an event for us but would like a Team Theo sports t-shirt these are available for a suggested donation of £15.

Yellow t-shirts: if you would like to purchase additional yellow t-shirts they are £5. Just let your charity representative know what you would like.

  • Set up your online giving page

Set up an online JustGiving page or Virgin Money page then you can start to ask your friends and family to donate instead of buying gifts
