Team Theo's Tour of Strines Cyle Ride!
Are you tough enough for the hills?
Team Theo's Tour of Strines is back for 2019!
Calling all cyclists! This cycle race is a non competitive sportive ride over 50 miles with 8,700ft of ascent.
The route covers some of the road used in the 2014 Tour de France, the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire and previously the Tour of Britain and Milk Race. The iconic and legendary Strines Valley is full of enchanted lanes which lead to some very steep climbs, some of which are over 25%. The route is very quiet with most lanes single track. The Strines is a particular training ground for the local elite riders including Russell Downing, Ben Swift, Tom Stewart, Connor Swift and in the past, Malcolm Elliott amongst many others.
All proceeds from the event and sponsorship raised will go to building a better future for our patients and their families. Post ride refreshments will be available at the HQ. This is a non competitive ride and entrants won't be timed. Possibly the hardest 50 miles you will ever ride!
Sign on opens from 7.30 on the morning with the first riders off at 8.30. The HQ is Bradfield Village Hall which situated in the picturesque village of Low Bradfield, 7 miles north west of Sheffield. The Hall is located on The Sands, a small lane opposite the village post office. Parking is available in the car park at the back of the cricket pavilion.
Register your interest today, if you're tough enough!
