Egg Run - event postponed
Important update regarding Theo's Egg Run 2020:
Following the most recent government advice on COVID-19, The Children’s Hospital Charity are adapting how we work to best protect our supporters, the team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital which we continue to serve passionately, and our own staff.
As a result we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the Easter Egg Run on 14th April. We will let you know as soon as we can when another date has been confirmed and would like to thank you all for your commitment to the event and to raising funds for our hospital, which is needed now more than ever.
Donations from the Egg Run are set to help provide an FES bike for our spinal injury patients which we do still need to fund. This bike will be life-changing for patients who require therapy to rehabilitate.
Patients with damage to the spinal cord might not be able to feel their arms or legs and may not be able to move. If the damage to the spinal cord is high it may effect the person’s ability to sit up and breathe for themselves. The bike will help to boost muscle power during therapy in a more interactive way and improve their recovery.
If you have already donated to the event via the JustGiving page, thank you! Your donations really do make a difference, if you were planning on attending the event and would like to help raise the money needed please visit bit.ly/3bZeOJl.
We know this is a difficult time for everyone and hope you and your families will all stay safe and well.
Thank you for all your support,
The Charity Team
