Bears of Sheffield Auction
Join us at the Crucible Theatre on Monday 18th October as our Bears are auctioned off to raise much needed funds.
Brought to you by The Children’s Hospital Charity, the Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition featuring Bear sculptures across the streets of Sheffield throughout the summer of 2021. The Bears were brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur. Each Bear has also been sponsored by generous businesses and individuals.
Following the success of the Herd of Sheffield Auction where over £400,000 was raised on the night, on the 18th October 2021 all 60 Big Bear Sculptures will be auctioned off to raise much needed funds for the Cancer and Leukaemia Ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital
The Cancer and Leukaemia Ward treats children from babies through to 19-year olds, in South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and as far south as Northampton. The care and attention from the doctors and nurses is second to none, but the facilities for the young patients do not match the quality of their treatment. By supporting the Bears of Sheffield Auction, you are helping us to create a new home from home for our patients, with space, privacy, and natural light to make isolation a place of sanctuary and calm.
We hope you will be able to join us at the auction to see our Bears find their forever homes whilst raising money for our amazing hospital. If you are unable to make it to the event but would like to bid on a Bear, please email [email protected] and a member of the charity team will be able to assist you with this.
