Ways to donate

Making your donation

Every day is bringing new challenges to Sheffield Children’s. Children and young people travel from across the UK and worldwide to Sheffield for care and our doctors and nurses treat every condition imaginable battling the most complex illnesses.

Every day is your chance to make a difference. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support alongside the NHS, giving children the best chance to fulfil their potential.

Building a better future for children starts here.

Thank you so much to everyone who has recently made a donation, due to the coronavirus pandemic donations may take a little bit longer to be processed so please bear with us. • Cancelled events and donation refunds

If you were due to take part in an event which has been cancelled, donations already given to the charity for this event are not dependent on the supporter concerned having completed the event, and so cannot always be refunded if the event or challenge is not completed or does not take place.

However, if you have collected sponsorship for the charity that is still in your possession, then we ask that you please contact each person to see if they are still happy for the money to be paid in to the charity, in order for it to support Sheffield Children’s Hospital. If they are not, please return the donation to your sponsor. We would encourage you to add notes to any sponsorship forms you have used to keep a record of those you have contacted.

If you have collected donations through an online platform such as JustGiving, then you will need to contact the charity to request a refund. Please contact [email protected] with the details. Please note that unfortunately, a refund cannot always be guaranteed.

  • Cancelling your own fundraising

If you have arranged an event yourself to raise money for the charity, you must have a plan to cover all situations you could reasonably anticipate. Make sure the people involved understand what is expected of them and whether you will offer a refund if the event can no longer go ahead.
