The Children’s Hospital Charity is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator who will implement and co-ordinate an effective volunteer programme across the Charity.
The Children’s Hospital Charity, a known and much loved charity in Sheffield and the surrounding regions, has the challenge of raising funds for its on-going work to enhance the world-class care offered to patients at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
This role will be pivotal in the recruitment, management and retention of volunteers who play a vital role in the success of the Charity, working in particular with the Events, Regional and Corporate Fundraising Teams and in our Charity Hub within the Hospital.
Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Manager, The Volunteer Co-ordinator will be responsible for producing clear volunteer role descriptions as well as ensuring all volunteers have a thorough induction and training programme so they really feel part of the team. They will be the first point of contact for volunteers so excellent communication and organisation skills are a must.
This role provides a great opportunity for someone to build on their current volunteer experience. Previous experience working with volunteers in a Charity or similar organisation is essential.
This role requires someone that can confidently build and maintain relationships with people at all levels and retain their support. We will be relying on you to develop strong relationships with our volunteers so that we not only hit but exceed our fundraising targets and charitable aims.
We are a vibrant dedicated team, working with one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK. This is your chance to join an innovative team as part of one of the region’s much loved charities.
