Stomp
July 2017 - October 2017
In the summer of 2016 a herd of elephant sculptures descended on Sheffield for a huge public art event.
The trail of 58 elephants celebrated Sheffield’s creativity with over 75% of artists coming from the city, each putting their own creative mark on a 1.6m tall fibre glass elephant sculpture.
Herd of Sheffield existed due to the shared vision, creativity and generosity of people across our city. It offered a unique opportunity for local businesses, the cultural sector, schools, local community groups and individuals to team up to create this epic fundraising event for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
Taking in the city’s streets and open spaces, tourists and residents alike enjoyed an elephant safari, discovering and celebrating Sheffield’s heritage and vibrancy through this world-class initiative.
Stomp exhibition celebrated everything Herd of Sheffield achieved, whilst giving buyers the opportunity to own work by some of the artists who took part.
