The Winter Ball 2011

Our bi-annual black tie event will be held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre this year on Saturday 26th November.

Having secured a top venue for the evening, we have also booked the stars to add sparkle to our Ball! We are delighted that Tom Chaplin, of the rock band Keane, will take to the stage on the evening to showcase his renowned piano and vocal skills. Local band ‘The English Gentlemen’ will also perform a variety of modern hits on the night along with Britain's Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley.

The funds raised by The Winter Ball will have a huge influence on children and their families across the UK and beyond, by providing the hospital with specialist equipment and enhancements in order to create a more child-friendly, comfortable environment.

Our last Winter Ball raised an amazing £65,000 which enabled us to purchase a specialist cardiac ultrasound machine. This machine is used in the hospital’s radiology department to look at the condition of a child’s heart, and each scan can help to identify potentially life-threatening heart defects, such as holes in the heart or valve problems.

Tables of 10 cost £800 and can be secured with a deposit of £200. We can accommodate different table sizes so please ring the charity office to discuss. We expect the demand for tables to be high, so to avoid disappointment please call us now to book: 0114 271 7203
