Our play specialists aim to reduce the stress a hospital visit might cause and help to maintain a sense of normality in an otherwise abnormal environment.
About the project
Our play specialists distract patients with various activities aimed at all different ages, such as soft play areas for younger children and games consoles for older children.
Play specialists can also act as advocates for our patients, communicating any worries or difficulties the child may be experiencing to the other members of the clinical team and can use dolls to explain to children how procedures work.
