Blades bring smiles to our patients for Christmas
21 December 2011
Sheffield United made their annual Christmas visit to the hospital yesterday, bringing smiles to our patients and their families, as well as our staff!
Players from the team, along with Chairman Chris Steele and managing director Dave McCarthy, handed out Christmas gifts to children around the hospital.
Managing Director Dave McCarthy said: “The Children’s Hospital has a special place in the hearts players, fans and all the backroom staff at Bramall lane. We are delighted to be invited to the hospital to meet some of the patients and staff, understanding why some of the youngsters are in hospital and learning more about the care they receive.
“We hope our visit lifted spirits and brought to some Christmas cheer to the wards,” added Dave.
